Last week, Shenzhen city police arrested 26 people accused of using two drones to send Hong Kong iPhones to China. The plan was based on linking two buildings located on the border with a 200-meter cable attached to the drones. By the cable, it was possible to carry bags with the cell phones. According to the authorities, the operation was carried out at dawn and had the capacity to carry around 15 thousand devices daily. The estimate is that smuggling has totalled around 500 million yuan (equivalent to $80 Million). This was the first case in which drones were used in China to ship products illegally. To counter this type of smuggling, local police will also use the devices and monitor suspicious activity. So, what do you think about this?
